A Little App is run by its founder from California, United States. This page says what we keep about you and why. Write to support@alittle.app with any question.
What we keep
When you open an app. We set a cookie with a random id so your browser is recognized next time: it lets an app find what you saved, counts visits, and keeps your bookmarks. It is not tied to your name or email unless you sign in. For each visit we also note the app, the time, how you arrived, your address, your country and the kind of device.
When you sign in. Your email address, your sessions, and the profile you set: a name, a handle and a line. Your profile is shown with the apps you publish. Signing in links this browser's saved data to your account so it follows you to other devices.
What you save in apps. What an app stores for you is kept with us so it follows you. What a room shares is kept under the account of the person hosting it, who can close the room. Live signals passed between people in a room, such as positions or moves sent as events, are relayed and not stored; what an app saves in the room stays. An app sees you only as a nickname and an id made for that one app, never your email or account.
When an app asks a model. Some apps use an AI model, and say so on their page. When one does, the maker's instructions and what the app sends, including words you typed into it, go to the model to produce the answer. We send no name, email or account id with them. We keep the question and the answer so the same question can be answered again without a new call, and an app can keep one answer to a question for everyone who asks it. We count your calls each day to apply your daily allowance.
When you publish. Your apps and their versions, their pictures and descriptions, your publish keys and their use, and your apps' visit numbers, which we show only to you.
Thanks and follows. Which apps you thanked and which makers you follow. Makers see how many people thanked an app; follower numbers are shown only to the maker.
When you write to us. Your email and what you sent.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information, show advertising, track you on other sites, or use what you saved or your private apps to train models. We do not read what you saved in an app except to fix a fault, investigate abuse, or answer your request.
Who else handles it
A cloud infrastructure provider runs our servers, storage and email, and sees the traffic needed to do that, including your IP address, under its own privacy policy. Google handles sign-in when you choose it. An AI model provider processes the questions apps send to a model, under its own privacy terms, and we do not let it keep them to train its models. An app may load fonts and libraries from public code networks, which see your IP address when it does, and an app that declares an outside service sends what the app chooses to that service; each app's page shows what it declares. We disclose information when the law requires it or to protect people or the service.
Google sign-in
Google sign-in is optional. We ask Google for your account id, your email address and whether it is verified, and your name. We keep the id and the email address to sign you in and connect your Google account to your A Little App account; the name only fills in the name field the first time. We get no access to your Google password, Gmail, Drive or Calendar. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train models. You can revoke our access in your Google account settings. Our use of information from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
How long
Your account and what it holds stay while the account exists. An app's files stay while it is published and after a takedown so its maker can restore it. During early access we may reset or delete data. If a company takes over A Little App, what we keep passes to it under this same page.
To delete your account, email support@alittle.app from the account's address. We delete the account, its profile, its saved data and its published apps within 30 days.
Children
Children can open apps and join rooms without an account and without typing anything about themselves. Accounts are for people 13 and older. We do not knowingly keep personal information about a child under 13; the cookie on a child's browser keeps the child's saved data and counts visits. If you believe we hold a child's information, write to us and we delete it.
Your rights
You can see and change your profile on the site. You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it, by email from your account's address, and we answer within 45 days. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of. California residents have the rights the California Consumer Privacy Act gives them, and people in Europe and the United Kingdom the rights their law gives them, including complaining to their data protection authority; your information is processed in the United States.
Changes
We post changes here with a new date, and email you before a change that reduces your rights.
